Indulged in wine-tasting silliness this evening. Lots of fun. Met a new friend, who took me up to Mt. Douglas today. Spectacular views; I re-discovered my inner mountain-goat in the process. :3

I ended up spending a ridiculous amount of time outside today; I walked downtown, and got a sunburn in the process. Even on the top of my head, if you can imagine. My quest: to search for employment. Holy fuck, is it ever a tedious process. And of course, I got distracted multiple times along the way. I discovered a very smelly pet shop. It had cats in it. :3 I'm not really searching for any type of employment in particular. Granted, I don't have much of an interest in becoming a prostitute. I'm not too keen on working in the food industry either, but beggars can't be choosers at this point; I'll take anything I can get.
I don't know what it is about the people here in Victoria. They just seem incredibly introverted, and not interested in being friendly at all. It's getting to the point where I'm so desperate for human contact that I buy a $1.70 slushee at the local Mac's for the sole purpose of making conversation with the cashier. It's brief, and not overly satisfying. I am frustrated, because I have yet to find like-minded individuals who have the same musical inclinations, or enjoy reading, etc. I haunt the libraries in Victoria often, but the stacks are empty the majority of the time; bereft of individuals between the ages of 18-28. Maybe I just go at the wrong times?
Everyone appears to be bent on being as trendy as they possibly can. Yes, I'm referring to you Mr. PunkEmoAlternative, and your posse of teenie-boppers too! They sit on the streets, in the clothing that their wealthy parents purchased them, and beg for pot money or cigarettes. Fuck off; the tobacco is mine, harass someone else!
Anyways, I'm sure things will sort themselves out. It will definitely help once I have established routine with a job, and maybe go to school. Or something.
Just recently moved to Victoria; trying to establish myself. Also recently acquired a camera, so I've been taking photos of things.
I'm the sort of person who makes faces at themselves in the mirror.
I like live music. Tyranny and Bloodshred tour in Vancouver was brilliant. I wasn't too enthused about FireWind, though. Maybe because I wasn't familiar with them. Or something.
